Student's Role

" Your problem may be modest, but if it challenges your curiosity and brings into play your inventive faculties, and if you solve it by your own means, you may experience the tension and enjoy the triumph of discovery."

George Pólya (1887-1985). Hungarian Mathematician whose problem-solving approach in Mathematics influenced thousands of Mathematics educators.

Hi Student!

So have you had this feeling that you will never like Math or doubt you will ever do well in Math? You could not be more wrong! Learning Math can be fun, interesting and easy! All you need is a little help from Questation and a lot of help from the person who matters most... You!

You see, learning Math is like watching a cartoon movie, if you fall asleep or never pay attention in the first 20 minutes of the movie, you will find yourself lost in the end right? So you tell yourself that this is a lousy cartoon and you don't like it at all!

BUT, what if you can rewind the cartoon and watch that first 20 minutes that you have missed? Now you understand why this cartoon character behaves this way and why the story goes this way. At the end, you tell yourself it is such a great show!

Sounds easy?

Yes it is!

The same story happens in learning math, and Questation teachers are here to help you to rewind or fast forward this journey. You MUST understand your past topics well before you can try more difficult questions.

Which is why we need you to learn together with our teachers to make this journey a fun and easy one. Remember, to do well in math, you have to help yourself by:

  1. Listening to the teacher in class and do not do other things like listening to music or doing other things.

  2. Join in the class discussion. Ask questions when you have problems by raising your hand in class. Learn to question, question to learn!

  3. Do your homework. Remember, even if you understand what the teacher is teaching in class, you will forget everything soon unless you practice on it!

With these 3 easy steps, you will soon find your Math getting better and better and you can soon become the best among your friends!

And when things seem difficult or you feel like giving up, just remember that no one can have an easy time with math always: Albert Einstein the great physicist and Noble Prize winner once said: "Do not worry about your difficulties in Mathematics. I can assure you mine are still greater." Got it? :-)
