At Questation, our approach to nurture your child's mathematical strength is simple and effective. We follow a tried and tested approach to bring out the best in each and every student whose mathematics education has been entrusted to us.

Step One: "Pre-sign up assessment"

You are encouraged to download a free placement test from our website to gauge the level that suits your child. As our program follows the Singapore's Mathematics framework, the levels are set from Primary 1 to 6. Since Singapore math is rigorous and has intensive content coverage, the program is suitable for students grade K-8. Typically, students using Singapore math for the first time starts one or two grades lower. So for example if your child is in Grade 6, he will fit into the Primary 4 or 5 programs. It depends on the result of the placement test and your understanding of your child's level. Similarly, a grade 4 student who has already a good foundation in math can go for the Primary 5 or 6 program.

Step Two: " Identifying the strengths and weaknesses"

Upon signing up, our Student Enrollment Officers will arrange a free first assessment for your child. This allows your child's tutor to form a better understanding of the skills he is lacking in and the concepts he is unfamiliar with. In this first lesson, our tutor will refer to the placement test and work out several questions with your child to help pinpoint his areas of weaknesses. With this live session, our experienced and well-trained tutor can then further customize the lessons to suit your child's needs.

Step Three: "Quality lessons and flexible choice based on a proven curriculum"

We create a conducive and highly interactive online environment for your child to learn effectively.

Lessons are conducted with our patent-pending Questation Multiboard that allows 4 students to interact freely with the teacher and with one another on a shared whiteboard while each having their own individual whiteboard to work on.

As you can imagine, kids love computers and are naturally excited and enthusiastic about learning online. Our teachers can channel this enthusiasm to ignite and nurture their interest in math!

At Questation, we recognize that each and every child is unique and requires different levels of attention and will also respond differently to different approaches. For example, your child may need ample attention for him to concentrate on learning or he may enjoy interacting with other children and thrives on "friendly-competition" with his fellow classmates.

Whatever program you choose, you can be well assured that your child will enjoy a highly personalized lesson that is tailored specifically to his needs. (Students of similar aptitude are placed in the same class so that progress will be more uniform.)

Furthermore, lessons are designed to be taught according to the Primary Mathematics Series Textbook( 3rd edition and US edition) in use in Singapore since 1981. Don't underestimate these low cost and lightweight paperbacks, they are the first choice mathematics curriculum for numerous homeschoolers around the world and is also adopted by an increasing number of schools all over the US.

Step Four: "Post-lesson feedbacks and parents' support"

At Questation, post-lesson feedbacks are integral parts of our program. At the end of every lesson, our tutor will write a progress report to indicate the day's coverage and each student's strengths and weaknesses. The tutor will take note of the problems your child faces in each lesson and he will formulate solutions and study plans that will help your child overcome these problems.

We also have regular meet-parents-sessions where our tutor can "meet" online with you to discuss your child's progress via our virtual classroom! This exchange of information and your after-lesson support will allow your child to benefit and improve even faster.

Step 5: "End of topic assessment"

At the end of every topic, the tutor will administrate an online quiz or assessment to determine if your child has fully grasped the relevant concepts. For students who are lagging behind, our dedicated tutors will arrange for additional lessons or give extra practices for your child to help him understand and retain the skills and concepts of each topic.

We ensure our students learn and retain their math knowledge through frequent reinforcing and practices. We also ensure that every student who joins our program will leave this program with a solid foundation in Primary Mathematics.
